FIRST ORDERS!

Ok, This is different. This is not for all members, just the coordinators. Don't add this link to your Team Blog, please! The bulk of team projects are "democratic", let's experiment and see how a more "authoritarian" approach works!

I will steer you and you must pass it down to your teams.

Your most important role is to be a Guiding Light! Do not get caught up as the "Go To" person! If anyone starts passing work to you, aka "Reverse Delegation", something has gone wrong.

You must decentralize your responsibilities, three good general categories are Planning, Sergeant-at-Arms and Production.
These catagories are general. I recommend that you assign these roles, rather than solicit requests.
While other team members may share some of the skills suggested for these catagories, keep it simple and do not combine categories.

Your Planner should be a "concept" person, someone who has original ideas, maturity, and practicality. This persons's skill sets should include good vocabulary, solid grounding in communication theories, and an abilty to analyze. This is the person who will take your directions and work out the details. If, for example, you decide to promote a non-profit organization in Lawrence, this person would put together an idea that matched the goals of the Organization with your intended audience, suggesting how best to use your resources, and proposing specific strategies and media use. They must take the initial steps in your project's development, so self-motivation will be key!

Your Sergeant-at-Arms is the officer of an organization who preserves order and executes commands. The Sergeant-at-Arms is the Do-er.They should be good at details, get tasks done properly the first time, and be ready to move on to the next segment. They must understand their role, and realize that the smallest details can make or break a project. They should be very practical, organized, and are probably your best team player. They will be doing lots of little jobs during production phase, but will be your Lead Marshall on the day of the Demonstration.

Production will be responsible for getting the Final versions produced. They will take input from the Planner and you, and write it, paint it, choreograph it or utilize the media they see fit. Your most artistic person should take this role. They will be responsible for the final phase of any segment, if they fail, your team fails. Make sure they are in the loop at all times, and have them work closely with planner.

By class start on Wednesday, I expect to see your Force Utilization plans posted here, with rationale. Do not use personal names here, use titles, and only describe positive traits in the blog.
